Uitstekend ontvangen en vanaf het eerste moment kregen we de volledige aandacht. We kregen vooraf een gepassioneerd intro over het menu en een prima advies over de passende wijnen. Vanaf de amuse tot het uitgebreid dessert zijn we zeer aangenaam verrast met als hoogtepunt een cappuccino van kreeft. Geen moment verveelt en zeer voldaan naar huis. Dit restaurant gaat ons zeker een keer terug zien.
Heerlijk gegeten, heerlijke wijntjes erbij met ontzettend leuke uitleg erbij.
Een fijne middag gehad.. Wij komen zeker terug.
op deze zonnige lentemiddag waren we de enige gasten, dus we kregen weel aandacht. Geraffineerde smaaknuances in de visgerechten, mooie wijnen en een verrassende dessertwijn.
Dit was een prachtig diner met producten met onverwachte smaken. Heerlijk en ontspannen.
Zoals altijd heerlijk gegeten, verfijnde amuses, voor en hoofdgerecht prima van smaak, kruiden uit eigen tuin, lichte sausjes, mooi opgemaakt op het bord. Nagerecht ook top. En de wijnkeuze is geweldig, zelf drink ik graag een portugeze rode douro wijn, maar voor ieders smaak is wel wat lekkers te vinden!
De bediening is vlot en attent.
Gewoon regelmatig hier eten is bepaald geen straf..

About Apicius*
Restaurant Apicius* is located in the middle of North called in a place called Bakkum. Owners are chef Thorvald and host Gaylord de Winter who have put Bakkum on the international culinary map with their restaurant.
Thorvald has a personal style of cooking that is described by guests as honest and clear. No complex preparations but a style that highlights the taste of the basic ingredients. The care with which this experienced chef dresses the plates, in turn, provides a bit more modernity.
Gaylord and staff are widely praised for their hospitality and the way in which they are able to share their expertise in the field of wines with guests with great pleasure. Gaylord seeks purity and authenticity in wines. The wine list includes a remarkable number of wines from smaller winegrowers. Farmers who let their wines taste the local character and work with indigenous grape varieties.
Restaurant Apicius* received their first Michelin star in 2002. Between 2007 and 2010, the restaurant even had two stars, but lost that second one in 2011. Since then, one star has been maintained. The restaurant has a total of 15 Gault&Millau points and they even awarded Gaylord the title of Sommelier of the Year in 2008.
